Hey there! This blog has been suspiciously dead of late and it’s high time for an update on what’s been going on the past few months.
A few months ago, I linked up with an online publication called Behind the Setlist and I am going to be the feet on the ground over at Summer NAMM in Nashville. They published a review I wrote about the new Delta Saints record Monte Vista featuring insight from my good friend Dylan Fitch as well as a narrative of a crazy day I had doing a triple downtown on the day of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup. It was well received by the editors and by fellow musicians, engineers, and fans of the Broadway scene and I’m super proud of the piece. All this being said, it was time for growth and to rebrand a little bit, including the leap to the dot com. Huge thanks to my sister Grace for helping out with the big boy logo.
At some point, I’ll be able to archive all of my pieces but for now I’ll share links to where you can read them at the source. I’ll continue to write in this space too, I promise. I have a piece I’ve been sitting on about quartals and a recent lessons with a student going over some of those concepts was the universe telling me it’s time, so expect some new content from me soon.
The Danger Take: On Making ‘Monte Vista’ with Dylan Fitch of the Delta Saints
Life’s been mad decent lately, and if you’re reading this, I hope it’s mad decent for you too.
